This text analyzes the procedural legitimacy of civil society for the exercise of constitutionality control in the States, in the light of the jurisprudential evolution of the STF on the subject. The State Constitutions usually provide that only state-level professional associations are legitimized, which puts the Principle of Federative Autonomy and the Principle of Access to Justice in collision, with serious procedural repercussions.
